Looking through the reading plan I've noticed that it goes by pages, not chapters and verses. The Bible that I bought at the church is organized into paragraphs, with the verses contained on that page at the bottom (e.g. page 8 says "1:77-2:23"). The verses are NOT noted in the body of the writings, only at the bottom of the page.
This Bible is Today's New International Version, but it has an intro for each book of the Bible that explains some of its history. I think I'll read that intro page for each book, but do my actually reading out of my Bible, which is the New Living Translation.
I'm going through the reading plan (by page) and finding out what chapter/verse that equals in my Bible. So here are the first couple of days, as an example:
Day Pages Book Chapters
1 1-10 Luke Intro, 1:1-2:20
2 10-20 Luke 2:21-7:50
3 21-30 Luke 8:1-12:48
4 30-39 Luke 12:49-19:27
I haven't had a chance to post a scanned copy of the reading plan, but will try to do that tomorrow. I'll also post a full break down of the readings by Book/Chapters/Verses like I did above as we get closer to Monday.
4 days to go!
